Teenagers from the ages of thirteen to nineteen from around the world all met in Los Angeles in the United States of America to put their independence to the test. Little did they know, their independence would be tested on a more extreme level than they expected.

In LA they all got on a plane that was destined to fly to Honolulu, Hawaii, where they would live for a month. Some knew each other and others didn't, but all of them had no idea of what fate had in mind for them. Within only the duration of three hours in the air, the plane hit powerful turbulence that were created by an unexpected storm.

Panic arose as the the plane went down. People rushed for oxygen masks as they buckled themselves into their seats, in hope that it would be enough for their survival as the plane plummeted down...and down...and down...

While they all thought that they would crash into the middle of open sea, they realized that it was quite the opposite as the plane impacted head first onto the beach of a unknown island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The pilot and the pilot assistant, the only adults on the plane died instantly from impact.

These teenagers now have to survive on their own. Will they survive the island? Or more importantly, will they survive each other? Only you can decide.

It's time to nominate members for the member spotlight, so make sure you do so. This can be found on the 'News and Announcements' board. It would be much appreciated if everyone participated.

8th of July
I added a promotional video to the site. The footage and audio are from the television show 'Lost', I only edited clips together. I hope you like it! Enjoy!

6th of July
A sub-board in the 'Plug Board has been added for members only. Some more songs have been added to the soundtrack too.

3rd of July
As you can see I've added small graphics around and within the side tables. I think that they neaten the side tables up a bit more and hopefully make everything look a little more organized. I've also added another role play location to the island and a new background to the current skin. I hope you like the new things added to the forum. Enjoy!

+ During the day it is usually humid and hot.
+ During the night it can get pretty cold.
+ Despite the climate, it has been known to rain off and on.

+ Free role play can take place.

+ The survivors have been stranded for nearly two weeks, rescue still hasn't come.
+ They are starting to learn more of each other.

MusicPlaylist

This is the soundtrack of the island. Although the battery power of the teenagers i-pods may have taken their last breaths and died, that doesn't mean that the survivors can't have a soundtrack describing their feelings and experiences on the island. To listen to some of the songs press play and scroll through the songs that interest you. If you think that a song needs to be here, PM me, Larnie (aka Layla and Audrey) and I'll see what I can do. All songs must relate to our characters and their pasts, experiences and feelings or the island itself, as well as relationships and bonds forming on the island.

The white wash of the waves swept into the beach, leaving behind shells and other things naturally from the ocean, meeting the foreign material that was the plane wreckage where it all began. Most of the tide had swept up the beach over the week and already some of the plane wreckage was submerged. Leaving smaller bits of metal and other things from the wreckage half-buried in the sand. It was late afternoon, making some of the pieces of the plane cast a low shadow. Where once there had been the horrible noise of the plane turbine whining dangerously and people screaming, now all there was remained the soft gentle sound of the ocean waves crashing into the sand.

It was here Keldric found himself, scavenging and picking clean from the wreckage anything that could be of use to him. He had gone through the entire shell of the plane for the most of the afternoon, finding little in the way of things. Some drink bottles, trays he could use as tables, damaged seats he could use for furniture, and panels from the plane he could use for privacy in his tent. He knew the other survivors would stare at him when he started to drag them back into camp, but he didn't care. Not about what they thought of him, or about them. He was going to survive and get off this island, and he was going to do it as a lone wolf.

He started to drag things from the wreckage, but realized it was going to get dark by the time he reached camp. So he made a decision. He pulled some of the installation that was in the plane over the pieces he had claimed, to hide it from the other survivors, and stepped make to make sure it was difficult for them to find. Last thing he needed was people stealing his stuff. He thought about the freaks he had been stranded with on this island as he put some of the smaller items into a laptop bag he had found, and started walking back up the beach, thinking how annoying it was going to be to have to try to avoid them until he was rescued.

Why did this have to happen to him?

Audrey always believed that sunset was the perfect time to take a walk if you wanted to relax. Being a Miami girl back at home, she knew this because she had been on countless amounts of walks with her loved ones...her friends...her brother...her mother...and they had all stated at some point that her hair could just about match the beautiful orange and yellow tones of the setting sun.

This evening she found herself wading through the waves as she made her way up the beach to the crash site of the plane that she had been on (along with many others) when the plane had impacted the ground. She considered herself to be very lucky to be alive. Very lucky indeed. She didn't know why she was making a visit to this particular beach, she figured she'd have to reflect on this particular experience sometime, she just wanted to get it over and done with.

As she made her way past the last bend of the shoreline, there lay the remains of the plane, lying uselessly in the sand. She scanned the wreckage as she moved closer, she noticed that she wasn't the only living being on this beach.

Collecting pieces of metal and other objects from the wreckage was a fellow survivor, one of the ones that she had seen around camp, but had never actually spoken to, mostly due to them secluding themselves from the group. But Audrey was never one to judge someone on appearances or first impressions so she wandered over to him happily just he was hiding the things that he had collected from prying eyes.

"You shopping for new furniture?" Audrey said in a humorous, but friendly manner as she approached him, holding her shoes and socks in one hand and resting the other casually in her pocket. She hoped that her humorous tone would be a good ice breaker.

Just as he turned and walked away from where he had been hiding from view the large items he had been salvaging all afternoon, moving a loud and heavy peace of metal that drowned out the sound of Audrey's footsteps in the sand, Keldric turned around to find a girl suddenly blocking his path. She was probably going to tell someone about what he was hiding or even steal something herself, he thought. This along with the fact he was tired from his day's work and wasn't at all amused by her joke that he was shopping gave him one first impression of this girl; annoying. The smug and confident way she was watching him irritated him as well. She had probably waited until this moment just to catch him off guard just to tick him off even further.

His green eyes looked over her appearence vaguely, and then turned hard and cold, looking into her own. "What's it to you? Mind your own buisness." he snapped at her defensively in a Australian accent, not wanting to leave now. He stood in front of the plane wreckage he was using, not trusting Audrey in the slightest. The moment he left, she was probably going to take something. He wasn't about to let that happen and would stay all night if he had to.

He folded his arms defensively as he examined her futher, leaning back against the metal of the plane fuselage. The wind swept through the area and tugged gently against the locks of his hair, but he was too infuriated at the moment to brush them away from where they hung over his eyes. He stared intensely back at the girl, his muscles tenatively tightening in responce as he spoke. "What do you want? This stuff is mine, understand?" he snapped protectively at her. He locked eyes with her with a strong intensity, not moving them an inch away from her.

Audrey raised her eyebrows, not impressed with this guys attitude. Normal people would probably storm off in annoyance if they found themselves in this situation, but Audrey wasn't normal, she was unique, so she stuck around to see what this guy's problem was. "Okay, I can see that you don't like ice breakers." She replied half sarcastically.

Was this guy supposed to be intimidating? Audrey just saw him as a guy with some serious anger and trust issues. "Take a chill pill, I don't want your pile of junk. But you might want to think about sharing your stuff with the group, it could earn you some seriously needed brownie points." Audrey replied calmly as she kept her eyebrows raised. Who the hell was this guy? What was his problem? Audrey didn't know, but she intended to find out.

Keldric's expression didn't change from his annoyed, serious one from before. "I don't like annoying little girls. That was supposed to be an icebreaker? Nice one." he replied sarcastically back, finally smirking at the thought. He wasn't impressed by Audrey, either.

He looked indignant at what she said next, smiling to himself and shaking his head, looking away and then looking back. "Gosh, I think you have a point. If you don't want my 'pile of junk', then why the heck would anyone else? Like I care about 'brownie points', and if they wanted this stuff they had all week to get it. Nice try, but you're not very good at convincing people if you contradict yourself." he scoffed, looking at the girl with a smug grin. He wasn't sure if she was lying and was just trying to trick him into leaving so she could get all his good stuff for herself, but even if she wasn't, he was interested to see how she would explain herself for being a partial hypocrite.

"Well my ice breaker was certainly better than 'Mind your own business'. Great social skills you've got there." Audrey replied in a sarcastic tone to match his, a cold look remaining in her eyes. This guy really did suck socially, he clearly wasn't a people person at all.

Audrey rolled her eyes as he twisted her words. So he was one of those people huh? Audrey hated mind games unless they were all in good fun and she was definitely not having fun right now. "Er because I already have my tent up and I don't need this junk. Other people back at camp are the opposite and usually when we collect things from the wreckage we share them, rather than just hiding them under the wreckage, thinking that they belong to us, just because we claimed them. We're all in this together, but apparently you're too selfish to realize that." Audrey replied, trying to remain calm, but starting to fail as her eyes filled with anger, which made her hair almost look like it was on fire.

"Fine. You want to isolate yourself from the group? Have fun surviving on your own then." Audrey said harshly (for her anyway) as she began to walk away. She wouldn't put up with this crap from him. She would go on her merry little way and pretend like this encounter never happened, she didn't have time for assholes like him.

"But you forget, I'm not trying to make any desperate attempts to make friends because I can't survive on my own, like you are." he said assertively, smartly answering back, picking up the sarcasm in her voice. He was enjoying this now, this mind-game he was playing with this girl, who seemed to reply back as cleverly as he did.

"So I'm going to take this stuff back to camp and share it with other people, just so I can be trendy and the same as everyone else? Er, I don't think so." he shot back as he had fun mocking her, trying to get his point of view across, revealing in the moment as he watched her break her calm demeanor. Seeing her getting angry was funny, perhaps even cute, because it wasn't like he was intimidated or effected by her in the slightest. He was his own man, he could do what he wanted, not do it because of other people's expectations on him. He wasn't about to let some silly little girl walk in and change all that, he wasn't about to take her childish games. He ignored the selfish comment, because it was true. He was selfish. And he had good reason to be, a reason he didn't want anyone else to know.

Then she started walking away, and he just watched her leave. What, did she expect him to follow her, just because they had a conversation? That wasn't happening. "Fine, I will. I don't need anyone. Have fun living in denial of the fact that sooner or later, someone's going to make a decison for you that you won't like." he shrugged, unfazed, his arms still crossed over his chest as he watched her walk away. Waiting and watching reassuringly to see if she would turn around, or come back, because of the reason he noticed had made her hang around the first few minutes into their conversation.

"Well at least if I fall off a cliff or something along those lines, I'll have people that want to save me. Being alone isn't so great in a place like this." Audrey replied to his first comment, a harsh smirk placed on her lips.

"You think that we stick together because it's a 'trend'?!" Audrey began, her voice rising a little. "We stick together because we want to survive. If we don't live together we're going to die alone, just like what's going to happen to you." Audrey spoke with a little more venom than she had intended.

Audrey stopped in the sand and turned around swiftly to face him, she was pissed off, which was an emotion that she had not intended on feeling on her relaxing walk. She was far from relaxed now. "Oh I'm not in denial. I know that's going to happen, that life. Unlike you, I won't isolate myself from the group just because they have different beliefs than I do. I'll deal with it and I won't become a selfish bitch in the process!" Audrey spat as she made references to this nameless guy, why the hell didn't she just keep on walking? This guy just made her so mad.

"Well then, I'll just have to make sure I'm not ditzy enough to fall off a cliff unlike some people, unless you're looking to push me off." he smirked back, meeting her eye. He wasn't about to back down from her, to him no matter how pissed off she got, she was just some little girl having a temper tantrum.

"Not living together, or else I'd be a hypocrite, sharing a tent with other people." he reminded her, "Just hanging around camp all day and expecting people to get food for you, and so you can have company. That's kinda weak, really, if you can't make decisions and fend for yourself. And sure, I'm going to die alone, good one. Guess you can't push me off a cliff after all, cause technically you'd be with me. But since when do you care if I live or die?" he pointed out, grimacing. He was having fun giving spite to this girl.

So much fun, he was intrigued, so he got up and decided to follow her so he would be close enough to hear her venomous remarks. He delighted in the fact he had completely destroyed the happy and relaxed nature she had been in earlier. "So that's it? You'll just 'deal' with it? What if they take advantage over you and the others, and assume you'll deal with it, or ask you to do something which means risking your life? Are you just going to roll over and die, or take what's rightfully yours because you deserve it? You don't need them, no-one does." he pointed out the honest truth in all seriousness, shrugging slightly. "But if you want to live that life, go ahead. It's not my fault you chose to leave them and be alone anyway so you can try to make friends with some outcast." he calmly stated the obvious, and he grinned at her.

(OOC: Lol that's okay. )

"Are you calling me ditzy?" Audrey replied with a sarcastic, angry laugh. "Then obviously you don't know me at all and have no right to judge." She added, crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows.

"Okay, one, I don't expect others to collect food for me, we work as a team something that you probably haven't experience. Two, I do fend for myself and I do make my own decisions, the only difference between you and I is I don't seclude myself from the group. You may think that you don't need us now, but if it gets to the point where we're aren't rescued in the next few weeks, you're going to really notice it, your solitude will drive you insane. And three, I never said I would push you off a cliff, so don't imply that I did." Audrey replied furiously in one big out burst, taking a deep breath after she had spoken her last few words.

Just as Audrey was about to speak again to argue against this guy, she stopped herself. "You know what? I don't have to explain myself to you, you're just going to exaggerate and twist anything I say. Think what you want, but that still doesn't mean you know me. I'll live whatever life I want to live thanks." Audrey replied, in an irritated but calm manner, there was no point getting herself worked up about this. "Oh, and I'm sorry I tried to befriend you. I'll keep in mind that some of you outcasts are friendless assholes. I'm Audrey, by the way, it's horrible to meet you." She added sarcastically as she turned away yet again and began walking down the beach, not looking back, not caring about what was to become of this annoyingly arrogant guy.

"Maybe I am, what's it to you? And I can say whatever the hell I want." Keldric retorted, walking alongside Audrey.

"Okay, one, it's experienced. Learn to talk proper English. Two, I don't care, big deal if I don't get to make nice with my neighbours, I've been by myself my entire life and I'm still alive. And three, you don't want to push me off a cliff, so you do care about me." he smirked, still teasing her playfully, not affected in any way by her big outburst. It was just her way of letting out bad emotions from his point of view.

"Nope, I know girls like you, sooner or later you're not going to like something someone does and you'll be out here by yourself, just like you did when you met me." he replied to her, and laughed. "Don't be sorry, I had fun talking to you, I've never been labelled as an 'outcast' before, I guess that would make you a follower. And I wish I could say the same about you, but I can't..." he implied, and stepped backwards from her. "You know what? I'm going back to get that stuff anyway. I don't trust you one bit." he said, and walked back to where he did his items, pulling away the tarp covering them a little more harshly than he should.

As he did, something groaned from the wreckage, and suddenly there was an almighty crash as part of the fuselage caved in on top of him, shooting up a huge cloud of sand in it's wake.
